Consultation

Clinical consultation and professional development for EMDR and IFS clinicians

I offer consultation to clinicians integrating EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) into their practice, as well as advanced professional development pathways for consultants and trainers.

I am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, an EMDRIA Approved Provider of EMDR Basic Training, and an IFS Institute Approved Clinical Consultant. My consultation offerings support clinicians working toward EMDRIA certification and IFS certification, depending on the pathway.

Some consultation offerings are available on a more consistent basis, while others are offered periodically and rotate throughout the year. If a group is not currently open, you are welcome to join an interest list and will be notified when registration opens.

Please note: I am not currently accepting new individual consultation clients, and I do not anticipate opening ongoing individual consultations in the foreseeable future. My consultation work is primarily offered through group-based formats and structured consultation pathways.

Consultation Pathways

Below are the primary consultation pathways I offer. Each pathway links to a dedicated page with additional details.

EMDR + IFS Consultation Groups

Ongoing | EMDRIA-Eligible

Group consultation focused on integrating EMDR and Internal Family Systems into real clinical work using The Integrated EMDR and IFS Model. These groups count toward EMDRIA consultation hours and are my most consistently offered consultation format. Groups tend to fill quickly when offered.

Consultation groups may be offered in different formats depending on the season, including drop-in consultation groups or closed cohorts with the same group of clinicians meeting over time. Both formats emphasize case consultation, clinical decision-making, pacing, and practical application of the model.

Who this is for

  • EMDR-trained clinicians integrating IFS into their clinical work

  • Therapists seeking EMDRIA consultation hours toward certification

  • Clinicians wanting case consultation to support real-world application of the EMDR + IFS model

Prerequisites

  • Completion of The Integrated EMDR and IFS Model Level 1 (live or on-demand), or

  • Familiarity with the model through my book and a desire for structured case consultation

This is a case-consultation space focused on clinical judgment, protocol fidelity, pacing, and effective integration of EMDR and IFS.

Demo & Practicum Groups

Experiential learning options that deepen skill through seeing and doing.

These experiential small-group offerings support clinicians in deepening their understanding of the EMDR + IFS integration through observation and hands-on practice. Demo Groups and Practicum Groups are distinct pathways, designed to support different learning needs and readiness levels.

Demo Groups

Demo Groups are designed for clinicians who want to observe the EMDR + IFS model in action. Participants witness live integration work and engage in group debrief and discussion to understand clinical decision-making, pacing, and therapist presence in real time.

Demo Groups may be a good fit if you:

  • Want to see the EMDR + IFS model applied live

  • Learn best through observation and reflection

  • Are building confidence before practicing interventions yourself

Practicum Groups

Practicum Groups are designed for clinicians seeking hands-on practice in integrating EMDR and IFS in a supported, structured setting. Participants actively practice interventions with peers and receive real-time feedback to support skill development and clinical confidence.

Practicum Groups may be a good fit if you:

  • Want opportunities to actively practice EMDR + IFS interventions

  • Learn best through experiential, skills-based practice

  • Want feedback on moment-to-moment clinical decision-making

Consultant-in-Training (CIT) Track

Offered Periodically | Small Cohort Format

The Consultant-in-Training (CIT) Groups support EMDR-trained clinicians who are developing their skills as EMDR consultants. These groups focus on consultant-level leadership, clinical judgment, ethics, and the consultation process, rather than simply accruing hours.

CIT Groups are offered periodically in small cohorts to support depth, continuity, and meaningful development.

Two CIT Group Pathways

CIT Groups are offered in two formats based on current consultation experience:

  • Foundations CIT Group
For clinicians who are brand new to consultation or have provided only a small amount of consultation. This group focuses on foundational consulting and leadership skills, including how to structure consultations and step into the consulting role with clarity and confidence.

  • Advanced CIT Group
For clinicians who are actively providing group and/or individual consultation or who have significant supervisory experience. This group focuses on refining consultation skills, deepening clinical judgment, and honing leadership presence in more complex consultation scenarios.

Participants may repeat cohorts and move between group formats as their experience and needs evolve.

Cohort Structure

  • Up to 4 participants per cohort

  • 4 live group meetings with the same cohort

  • A consistent group to support depth, continuity, and relationship-building

EMDRIA Considerations

Participants may name me as their EMDRIA-Approved Consultant or participate while formally working under another EMDRIA-Approved Consultant. Group consultation hours may be applied toward EMDRIA requirements in accordance with EMDRIA guidelines.

Because EMDRIA requirements may change, participants are responsible for confirming how hours apply to their specific certification pathway.
