Organizational & Trainer Consultation

Supporting trainers and training organizations in teaching clinicians with clarity, accessibility, and depth

I offer consulting to trainers and training organizations that actively teach clinicians and want their material to land more clearly with a diverse group of learners, including neurodivergent clinicians.

This work is designed for people who already teach and train and want to enhance how their material is delivered to make it more accessible, applicable, and usable in real-world clinical practice.

I have provided this type of consultation, in both formal and informal capacities, to trainers affiliated with prominent training institutes, including IFS Institute trainers, EMDRIA-approved trainers, and others who lead large-scale professional training programs.

Who This Consultation Is For

This consultation is a good fit for:

  • Trainers affiliated with institutes such as the IFS Institute or EMDRIA

  • EMDRIA-approved trainers teaching Basic Training or advanced coursework

  • Organizations offering continuing education or certification programs

  • Educators who are actively teaching and want their material to land more consistently

  • Trainers who notice some learners struggling despite strong content

This work is especially relevant for trainers serving diverse learner populations, including clinicians who are autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent, whether or not those learners are formally identified.

What This Consultation Focuses On

This consultation is personalized to the trainer or organization.

We begin by talking through your teaching approach and reviewing relevant materials. This may include:

  • Course outlines or syllabi

  • Slides or teaching materials

  • Session recordings

  • Your assumptions about learner readiness and processing

From there, I help you identify where learners may be getting lost, overwhelmed, or unable to apply the material, even when the content itself is strong.

Consultation may include support around:

  • Making complex material more immediately usable

  • Clarifying expectations and decision points for learners

  • Reducing unnecessary cognitive load

  • Improving pacing and sequencing

  • Adjusting language to reduce ambiguity

  • Supporting neurodivergent learners without diluting rigor

The goal is not to accommodate a few learners, but to design a system that enables more learners to engage, understand, and apply the material with less friction.

Why This Work Matters

Many clinicians who are neurodivergent have historically struggled in training environments, not because they lack ability, but because the material is not structured in ways that make sense to their brains.

As an autistic clinician with ADHD, I spent years believing I had a learning disability, when in reality, I was not being taught in a way that landed. Once the material was clearly and explicitly structured, my learning accelerated dramatically.

That lived experience now informs how I consult with trainers. Small changes in structure, pacing, and clarity can make the difference between learners feeling confused or overwhelmed and learners being able to apply material immediately and confidently.

Programs that teach in more accessible ways often find that they:

  • Reach a broader group of clinicians

  • Reduce learner frustration and dropout

  • Improve integration of material into clinical work

  • Strengthen the overall quality of their training
