A Three-Day Immersion into Your Own Internal System
This retreat offers space to slow down, turn inward, and explore your parts through an IFS and EMDR-informed lens. You’ll deepen your Self-to-part relationships one step at a time—gaining personal insight, professional clarity, and hands-on experience with the model. Meet You: A Transformative, Healing, and Experiential Retreat for Therapists
Designed exclusively for up to 32 therapists, this retreat offers a personalized and intimate environment that thrives on authenticity, curiosity, and acceptance. It’s ideal for EMDR-trained clinicians and those familiar with Internal Family Systems (IFS); though formal Level 1 training is not required. Our retreats are grounded and real, blending laughter and warmth with deep, reflective work.
We don’t just teach this model, we live it. Our leadership team models openness, flexibility, and collaboration so you can fully show up as yourself, wherever you are on your path.
What to Expect
This is not a didactic training, it's an immersive, experiential opportunity to gently get to know your own system one part at a time. You’ll select a personal or professional area to explore, with our support in clarifying your focus and setting your intention for the retreat. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, curious, or simply ready to reconnect with your inner world, this retreat meets you where you are.
Each day includes parts mapping, internal interviews, small group exploration, and optional practice exercises. You'll also have the opportunity to observe or participate in live demonstrations with our retreat leaders, gaining real-time insight into the healing process.
Examples of Topics You Might Explore
We’ve designed this retreat to be flexible, so your journey can unfold based on your needs. Some participants come in with clarity, while others discover their focus along the way. Here are some common themes you might choose to explore:
Therapist Parts & Professional Triggers: Explore the parts of you that show up in sessions, whether it's performance anxiety, over-responsibility, emotional detachment, or feeling activated by certain clients or dynamics.
Burnout and Boundaries: Work with the parts that push you past your limits and the ones that resist rest or softness.
Personal Stuck Points: Bring curiosity to areas of your personal life that feel murky, repetitive, or charged.
Money & Entrepreneurship: Explore how parts of you relate to earning, spending, growing your practice, or expanding your reach.
Transition Points: Investigate what’s surfacing in times of change, grief, loss, excitement, ambivalence, or uncertainty.
These are just examples! YOU are invited to bring any part of your life that feels ready for deeper attention.
Experiential Learning Activities
Parts Mapping: Learn to map, get to know, and befriend your parts to enhance your functioning. This session is more than an exercise; it's an overarching experiential lesson on engaging deeply with your internal system.
Workbook Journal: Throughout the retreat, you will work with a carefully designed workbook that features explorative prompts, activities, and spaces for personal notes. The workbook also includes a parts log to help you track and understand various parts of your system.
Creative Expression: Utilize creative methods like mind mapping, parts art, and journaling to externalize and process internal experiences creatively and therapeutically.
Find EMDR Targets: Learn about burdens held by various parts of your system and identify trailheads for healing.
Live Demos: Experience the EMDR + IFS integration live and in person.

Your Journey, Your Way
At this retreat, we honor that every system knows what it needs. Our role as facilitators is to offer compassionate support and guidance, not direction or analysis. Everything we share, whether it’s a process, a practice, or a moment of reflection, is an invitation, not an expectation.
You can engage in this experience in the way that feels most authentic to you. Some participants choose to partner with another attendee or a friend they’re attending with, while others prefer to explore independently or privately. The facilitators are available throughout the retreat to support you at whatever level feels right, gently helping you stay connected to your process and navigate through whatever emerges at your own pace.
We also offer optional opportunities for shared experiences, such as a group unburdening opportunity, if that’s where the work takes you. This can be a full or partial unburdening, and it may involve any part of your system, a protector or an exile. Participation is completely voluntary, and every version of engagement is equally honored.
Throughout our time together, you’ll also find spaciousness. Time for mindful movement, rest, nature, and quiet reflection. We believe that stillness and choice are as healing as insight and exploration.
Everything here is an offering. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t. Your system leads, and we are here to walk beside you.
Who This Retreat Is For
This retreat is designed for therapists who have already developed a solid foundation in both EMDR and IFS. Ideally, participants have completed The Integrated EMDR and IFS Model Level 1 training (live or on-demand), or they have a working knowledge of both models through other training or practice.
Please note that this retreat is not an introductory training in the integration of EMDR and IFS. We will demonstrate the integrated model and support participants in exploring their own internal systems, but we do not teach the foundational skills of either model during the retreat.
If you’re new to either EMDR or IFS, we recommend completing foundational training before attending. If you’re unsure whether the retreat is the right fit for you, feel free to reach out for clarification.
