Advanced Integration Through the Lens of Therapist Parts

The Integrated EMDR and IFS Model Level 2 is designed for clinicians ready to deepen not only their clinical skills, but also their relationship with themselves as therapists.

Building on the foundational concepts introduced in The Integrated EMDR and IFS Model Level 1 (required prerequisite), this advanced training explores the therapist's internal system, the impact of therapist parts in the therapy room, and the nuanced decision-making required when working with complex trauma.

Through advanced teaching, live demonstrations, experiential practice, and collaborative discussion, participants will strengthen their ability to remain Self-led, navigate challenging clinical moments, and integrate EMDR and IFS with greater confidence, flexibility, and depth.

Rather than relying solely on protocols or scripted interventions, Level 2 invites clinicians to develop a deeper trust in themselves and their capacity to respond thoughtfully to complexity as it emerges.

What You'll Learn

Advanced Parts Mapping: Use sophisticated mapping strategies to conceptualize complex systems with greater clarity and organization. Learn various IFS-informed conceptualizations to support EMDR treatment planning.

Negotiating with Protective Parts: Refine your ability to build trust with protective parts, obtain permission for deeper work, and collaboratively navigate stuck points in EMDR treatment.

Continuity of Sessions: Develop strategies to maintain momentum between sessions, helping clients remain connected to the work while supporting deeper EMDR and IFS integration over time.

Why Level 2 Feels Different

Move Beyond Technique Into Embodiment: Develop the ability to notice and work with your own therapist parts so you can remain grounded, flexible, and connected during challenging clinical moments.

Learn Through Experience: Three live demonstrations and experiential practicums allow you to witness the work unfold in real time and practice new ways of relating to yourself and your clients. The live demonstrations include a program assistant narrating the model breakdown in the Zoom chat.

Deepen Your Clinical Confidence: Refine your conceptualization skills and expand your capacity to navigate complexity without relying on rigid scripts or formulas.

Strengthen Your Self-Leadership and Clinical Confidence: Become more aware of the internal dynamics that shape your clinical decisions and cultivate greater trust in your own intuition, presence, and clinical judgment. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do I need to complete Level 1 before attending Level 2?
Yes. Completion of either the live or on-demand Level 1 course is required before enrolling in Level 2, as the advanced content builds on foundational concepts taught in Level 1.

Can I skip The Integrated EMDR and IFS Model Level 1 if I’ve completed IFS Institute Level 1 training?
Even if you've completed IFS Institute Level 1, I recommend taking The Integrated EMDR and IFS Model – Level 1 course first. This training specifically teaches how to blend the two models—something not covered in traditional IFS or EMDR programs. If you're already comfortable with IFS, the on-demand version lets you skip the introductory IFS material and focus on the integration work at your own pace.

How long will I have access to the on-demand course?
You'll have 1 full year of access to the on-demand course, including all demo videos, handouts, and materials. Learn at your own pace and return to the content whenever you need a refresher.

What are the technical requirements for the on-demand course?
All you need is a stable internet connection and a device that can stream video. The course can be accessed on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
