EMDR + IFS Demo Group
Experiential Learning | Offered Periodically
Experience EMDR + IFS integration in real time through live demonstration, guided participation, and thoughtful clinical reflection.
Demo Groups are offered periodically and rotate based on teaching focus and availability.
About the Demo Groups
The EMDR + IFS Demo Group is an experiential learning space where clinicians learn through direct experience rather than observation alone. Participants engage in live, facilitated IFS work while the group witnesses and reflects on the therapist's decision-making, pacing, and process.
The focus of this group is not case consultation or skill drilling, but helping clinicians see, feel, and understand how EMDR + IFS integration works moment-to-moment in real clinical encounters.
Each group is intentionally small to support safety, depth, and meaningful learning.
How the Demo Group Is Structured
Each EMDR + IFS Demo Group includes 4 participants. Over the course of the group, each participant will take a turn as the demo person, experiencing a focused element of IFS work in a live, facilitated setting.
By registering, participants are consenting to:
Being the demo person for one session
Participating in this work in front of the group
You do not need to prepare anything in advance, and you are always welcome to set limits around what you are and are not open to exploring during your session.
Each meeting is 90 minutes and follows a consistent structure:
60 minutes: Live EMDR + IFS demonstration with one group member
30 minutes: Group debrief, Q&A, and discussion of clinical process
The demo work is collaborative, paced, and grounded. The intention is to illustrate how the model unfolds rather than to complete a full course of therapy.
Who This Is For
The Demo Group is a good fit for clinicians who:
Want to experience EMDR + IFS integration firsthand
Learn best through experiential and relational learning
Are curious about pacing, therapist presence, and clinical judgment
Are open to being seen in a supportive, contained learning environment
This group is appropriate for clinicians at different stages of integration, including those early in their learning and those seeking to refine how the model lands in practice.
What You’ll Gain
Participants commonly report:
A clearer felt sense of how EMDR + IFS sessions unfold in the clinical process
Increased confidence around pacing and therapist decision-making
Greater understanding of protector dynamics and parts-led work
Deeper self-awareness as a therapist
The goal is not performance or depth for its own sake, but clarity, confidence, and learning that translates into clinical work.
Recording, Access, and Confidentiality
Sessions are typically recorded and shared only with the members of that specific cohort to support reflection and learning.
Recordings are available for 90 days from the start of the group
Access is limited exclusively to your cohort
Recordings are never shared outside the group without explicit written consent
In addition to the recordings, I provide process notes highlighting clinical decision-making, pacing, and key moments from each demo to support deeper integration of the material.
Important Notes
This is an experiential learning group, not a case consultation group
EMDRIA consultation hours do not apply to demo groups
Participation involves being seen in your own work
Emotional safety, consent, and choice are prioritized throughout
This group is not intended for earning EMDRIA consultation hours.
If you are looking for case consultation or certification hours, please see the EMDR + IFS Consultation Groups.
